In the box at left there should be nine cats. The box should be the
same size as the samples shown below. This is clearly not what happens.
First, the widths of the floating DIV
is too small.
(This was described earlier.) Second, the
cats don't appear. Background images do not work in floating elements.
Just to satisfy all you cat lovers, this is what should happen in each of the three boxes:
Well... that should show what should happen... but for some reason
Opera doesn't display an empty DIV
. According to the HTML
4.0 specs, that should only be done for an empty P. Let's try that again,
with an stuck in as a kludge:
